03-29-2019 Witten – Dortmund – Frankfurt – San Francisco – Sacramento, CA

We got up after a couple of hours sleep were in Frankfurt very early. In fact we wre the first customers of the day and so the people at the Lufthansa counter had a lot of time. They looked at Harpo and told us that the dog was probably just a little too tall for the kennel we had.

Never mind that he had used it several times already without anybody having objections anywhere. They made us by a new one at a real fantasy price and ditch the old one. Travelling with dogs is basically easy, but sometimes you run into unexpected problems. If you can solve them with money you are lucky. We arrived in San Francisco in the afternoon, got a rental car and went to Sacramento to rest for the night. Harpo was just as jet lagged as we and ready to get up at 4 o’clock at night.
